Although it’s hard to calculate, I am sure I have made over $250,000 from my email list for this blog. That number could actually be closer to $500,000. Regardless, my email list is one of my biggest assets. What most people don’t know is that it’s actually not too hard to build a list. Especially when you have an incredible tool like OptinMonster.
So, in this OptinMonster review, I am going to explain what OptinMonster is and how you can use it to build your own email list like me.
What is OptinMonster
OptinMonster is a marketing tool for growing your email list. It was founded by my friend, Syed Balkhi.
It’s more than just a tool though. OptinMonster is one of the best looking and most easy to use pieces of software I have ever used. The marketing for it is great, the branding is fantastic, and when you dive into the software, you can see why it has been so successful.
Opt-in Popups
By now, you have seen the opt-in popup I created using OptinMonster and hopefully you have entered your email in it if you weren’t already on my email list 
This is what is as the core of OptinMonster. I have been using these opt-in popups for years, but none have been as easy to setup or had as good of an opt-in rate as the ones I have created with OptinMonster.
With the example above, I am seeing about a 7% conversion rate across my entire blog. That includes all the people seeing it who were already opted in before I switched to OptinMonster. Some pages on my blog, like my Affiliate Marketing Guide, are getting a much higher opt-in rate.

How to Build Your Email List with OptinMonster
The builder that OptinMonster has for creating your opt-in box is super easy to use and it works extremely well.
You can drag and drop to edit everything and customize it to the look and feel of your blog. Doing those things will help increase your opt-in rate.
OptinMonster also has direct integrations with every email management service I know of. I use AWeber and it was just a matter of a few clicks to connect my AWeber to OptinMonster so all my opt-ins would be added to my mailing list.
They also have a WordPress plugin so you can just install the plugin, add your API key, and your opt-in box will start showing up right away. You can get everything set up in about an hour and then just leave it and wait for the opt-ins to start showing up from the traffic you’ve already been getting on your blog!
I will be exploring the other options that OptinMonster has now that I have seen how well the regular opt-in box works. For example, you can show a different opt-in form for people who are already subscribed or people who have visited before.
