Active Campaign allows you to create a more personalized experience that is specific ton your contact so than when they do receive your email the chances that they open It is going to be much greater than the competition... And the way the we do this is using grouping (tagging and so on) in Active Campaign -  this is SEGMENTATION - the process of grouping your contacts by similar atributes (TAGs) and actions.

This is real case study - i will show you how I create Active Campaign Automation for on of my FAVORITE Passive Income Programs - Funnel Franchise by Mark Weightly. So we will start from scratch. Follow the steps below.

First step - we create Funnel Franchise List in Active Campaign. This List is where our people are going to live after they will subscribe using active campaign subscription form (I placed this form on my blog).

No we are going to Automations tab and create New Automation - Start from Scratch.

So the first thing we need to do is - when someone subscribes to our List - we choose this trigger - next we choose our List in Actions Options.

Our next step is adding a tag. So when someone subscribes to our List we are going to Tag him with our new tag FUNNEL FRANCHISE. We do it using Conditions and Workflow window and we use - Contacts Tab - Add Tag. And this is all we need to do for the first automation. Watch below video to see it in action.

So when someone subscribes on my site using this Active Campaign form he will go to my FUNNEL FRANCHISE List and than Active Campaign will tag him with the Tag "FUNNEL FRANCHISE".

Next we going to create new automation. And this time this is the actual automation that we are going to start using. This automation will be based on the Tag we have just added to that new subscriber. SO our trigger will be TAG IS ADDED and in Action options we will chose our TAG (FUNNEL FRANCHISE). And now whenever that TAG is added to that person we gona send them an email or any thing we want (like sms for example). Press Send Email and we will create first Email in our automated campaign (Automation).

So we created our first email and we can also add some Waiting period - in my case this is wait for 1 Hour and send another Email.

This is the best way to start working with your new subscribers because you are not going to be confused on who is on what List - you do not really care. You just care about the tags and Active Campaign is sending email based on those tags.

It is not that easy to start using Active Campaign like a PRO but do not panic they offer step by step training in a special training membership site (free to register).
